Founded in 1931 by Robert Dauvissat, this famed domaine is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Chablis. A benchmark for purity, precision, and longevity. Today, Vincent Dauvissat continues the family’s legacy with unwavering commitment.

Oak is utilised throughout the cellar, it is old, some very old and applied with restraint - to subtly enhance complexity and dimension. Some of the barriques in use are over 30 years old, a testament to the domaine’s philosophy of refinement and complexity over opulence.

The Domaine practices bio-dynamic viticulture and vineyard management, with deliberately low yields which ensure that each bottle is a profound expression of terroir. These wines are never flashy in their youth; rather, they are taut, chiselled, and structured with remarkable tension. Given the patience of proper cellaring, they evolve into some of the most captivating and intellectually stimulating wines in the world, unfolding layer upon layer of nuance and sophistication.

Having had the privilege of tasting here every year for 29 years, I continue to be in awe of Dauvissat’s mastery and eagerly anticipate the future as Vincent’s children prepare to carry forward this extraordinary legacy.
